Synnervate

Definition of ‘Synnervate’: syn-, to integrate and -nervate, to vitalise

The purpose of Synnervate is to develop organisations in which the adaptive capacity to prosper in a changing world is internalised into its systems, culture and people. Synnervate’s main product is Integral Resilience.

Resilience, for social-economic-ecological systems, is related to:

the magnitude of novelty, or shock that the system can absorb and remain within a given acceptable range of capability
the degree to which the system is capable of self-organisation
the degree to which the system can build capacity for learning and adaptation and transformation

Integral refers to Synnervate’s multidimensional approach. For Synnervators, the adaptive capacity of an organisation is increased when adaptivity is built into the individual and collective systems and structures.

The core methodology for achieving Integral Resilience is Synnervation: integrating the current best practises in personal, cultural and structural dimensions of organisational life.

State-of-the-art new tools and theories can be brought together for the first time to provide some of the key requirements for encouraging large-scale transformation towards a society that is integrally resilient. The tools that Synnervate applies are listed below:

Spiral Dynamics Integral and assessments
Cultural Transformation Tools and assessments
Integral theory
U-Process
Meshworks/ Natural Design
Chaordic process
Vital for Life
Evolutionary Enlightenment
Integral coaching
Systemic constellations
Open Space

Inherent in work that aims for adaptability in society and organisation is the need to continuously test and adapt the tools of the Synnervators to the changing conditions. Therefore the list is likely to grow and change over time.
